Glass Art
Glass is a medium with multiple characteristics – an everyday material with which one

can create monumental sculptures. Specific formulae allow glass to have a range of form and structure. Glass can be stretched thin as a thread - or made into blocks like granite. Some thin sheets of glass can hold the weight of two men, while massive blocks of glass can shatter easily. Some commercial glass tolerates quick changes in temperature, while other types of glass require gradual cooling cycles.
Though glass appears solid, at the molecular level its structure remains flexible and continuously fluid, allowing it almost infinite form. The method used to make these works of glass is called mould melted glass. The precedent for this process came from the Egyptians and is practiced today by Czech artists.
