Artist’s Statement

This work is a place to engage thoughtful reflection, emotion and 'lighten up” -- to pause, observe, and listen. The work is about light. Light is the subject. Glass is the medium. Combined they reveal form and substance. The action of light through glass questions perception, invigorates imagination, and imparts emotion. Art is the way I communicate ideas. These ideas take form in sculpture. This work investigates the perception of light, flow, and structure. The intent of this work is to reveal those relationships.
